Outpatient means regular appointments while living at home. Intensive outpatient is several hours a day, several days a week. Partial hospitalization is most of the day, most days, going home at night. Residential means living at the facility. Detox is medical care while the body clears a substance. An opioid treatment program is certified to dispense methadone and other medications for opioid use.
