The short version
This site is a directory. You can read every page without an account, and we do not know who you are when you do. We run no advertising pixels, chat widgets, or call tracking. We count visits with Google Analytics, with its advertising features switched off, and you can turn it off. We do not sell or rent visitor information to anyone.
What we collect from visitors
Server logs. Like every website, our hosting provider records the address your device connects from, the page requested, the time, and your browser's name, and keeps those logs for a short period to keep the site running and to find abuse. We do not join those logs to a person.
Search terms. When you search the directory, the words you typed are in the address of the results page and in the server log for that request. They are not stored anywhere else.
Maps. A facility page can show a small map. The map tiles are loaded from OpenFreeMap, an open project, when the map scrolls into view, and that server sees your device's address in the same way any image on any website does. No map loads until you scroll to it.
Errors. If a page breaks, an error report with the page address and technical details is sent to Sentry, an error-tracking service we use, so we can fix it. The report does not include anything you typed.
Messages to a facility. A featured listing can carry a message form. What you send goes to that facility by email and is kept in the facility's account on this site until the facility deletes it. We do not use it to market to you, we do not share it with anyone else, and it is never counted toward anything a facility pays. Leave medical details out; the facility will ask for what it needs.
Cookies. Public pages set Google Analytics' cookies, which tell one browser from another so that visits can be counted, unless analytics is off for your browser. Signing in, which only facility staff and administrators do, sets one cookie that keeps you signed in.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics to count visits and to learn which pages help people. Google receives the address of each page you open here, which can include a filter you chose or a search you ran, along with your browser's details and an approximate location from your connection. We never send Google your name, your email address, or anything you type into a form. Advertising features are switched off: the data is not used for advertising and is not linked to a Google account's ad profile. Analytics never runs on sign-in, claim, account, or admin pages.
Analytics is off for any browser that sends a Global Privacy Control signal. You can also turn it off for the browser you are using now:

What we collect from facilities
When a facility claims its listing, we keep the staff member's email address, the sign-in records, and every change made to the listing, with who made it and when. If a facility pays for a featured listing, the payment is handled by a payment processor and we keep the invoice record, not the card.
What we never do
We never operate a helpline, route calls, or pass along who called whom. We never sell visitor information, and we never share it for advertising. We never charge a facility for a call, a message, a lead, or an admission. We never show advertising from third parties.
